Anne works as a Down syndrome advisor in Hertfordshire, supporting children from preschool right through to post-16. She has over 20 years' teaching experience. Through her work, Anne is involved in supporting children with Down syndrome in schools, both mainstream and special schools, and developing provision for preschool children.
Anne is passionate about developing effective support for parents and schools so that children with Down syndrome can develop to their full potential and access society. She is involved in research into Down syndrome, and her MSc looked at numeracy development in children with Down syndrome.
Anne has two children. Her son, Andrew, has Down syndrome.
