6 week Mindfulness course - spring term (DS Achieve Empowerment Group)


A six-week Mindfulness, meditation and relaxation class for parents and carers of children/young people with Down Syndrome.

DS Achieve is delighted to offer this 6-week Mindfulness, meditation and relaxation class, to be delivered by The Mindful Squad.

The Mindful Squad (https://www.themindfulsquad.com/) work with children and adults to deliver a range of Mindfulness services. They also specialise in working with children, teens and adults with educational and additional needs, so are very well placed to offer this class for parents and carers of children/young people with Down Syndrome.

The sessions are designed to be fun, supportive and accessible for all.

Each 40 minute interactive session will teach you the tools and techniques of Mindfulness which you can use in your everyday life. Whether you are a beginner just starting out on your mindfulness journey or already have a your own mindfulness practice, these sessions are suitable for everyone.

The sessions will include practical exercises to help you better understand your emotions, focus on gratitude and help you cultivate your own happiness.

Each session includes a guided meditation to help you relax and further your practice.

**Class dates are 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th March, and 6th and 13th April, all at 8pm. Please ensure you are able to attend the sessions before booking a place.**
