All participants at events and users of our site & discussion forums must accept and agree to abide by them. By using this website or our other social media forums, you’re accepting and agreeing to follow these terms of use.
This website is owned by DS Achieve and its registered office is in St Albans, Herts, and it is an English registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation under number 1176873.
The term ‘DS Achieve’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of this website. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of this website or any of our other social media forums.
Our Community Guidelines
DS Achieve is a charity formed by parents for parents. We want to support each other and ensure that our Community feels like an inclusive place. So, we ask everyone who interacts with us to abide by our community guidelines.
DS Achieve is a place for constructive sharing and discussion. We don’t ask you to agree with everyone, but please contribute to conversations in a respectful manner. We want everyone to feel welcome. Please:
Show respect and courtesy to other users and their content at all times
Don’t use offensive, abusive or threatening language, or promote discrimination
Try to stay on topic and relevant
Don’t spam or engage in self promotion or selling
Contribute original contributions or make sure you have permission or a licence to share or adapt the work of others. Give credit where it’s due
Don’t do anything illegal.
How you use the website and our social media forums
You agree that:
You will not use groups or comments to paste any information that is or is likely to be, discriminatory, hateful, false, inaccurate, threatening, defamatory, abusive, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, harassing, profane, sexually oriented, invasive of a person's privacy, liable to incite racial hatred, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience or otherwise be a breach of the law.
You will show respect and courtesy at all times to other users.
You must not use copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by yourself or you have obtained all necessary licenses and/or approvals.
You must not carry out or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law or infringe the rights of any third party, in the UK or any other country in the world
You must not make any postings that would constitute an advertisement, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other form of solicitation.
You must not make a posting that would be technically harmful (including, without limitation: hacking, the introduction of computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software).
You agree not to use the groups or comments for spamming. You will not cross post your messages to more than one discussion or post off-topic messages.
You must adopt a user name which is appropriate and not offensive in any manner.
You agree that you use groups or comments at your own risk and that DS Achieve is not responsible for any of the material posted unto the groups or comments.
Any posting only gives the views of the author of the posting and does not reflect necessarily the views of DS Achieve and therefore you agree that we cannot and will not be held responsible for the contents, accuracy or validity of the postings in any manner whatsoever.
You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your postings.
You agree that DS Achieve will remove any material it chooses entirely at its discretion and without prior consent of the author.
If you think any post breaches these terms, please let us know by emailing us at info@dsachieve.org and we will try to remove the postings within a reasonable time. If we determine removal is necessary, the removal will be manual so may not take place immediately.
DS Achieve reserves the right to cancel your right to use the groups or comments at its sole discretion.
You agree to indemnify DS Achieve for any loss it suffers as a result of your actions in breach of these terms and conditions.
You agree DS Achieve is not obliged to oversee, monitor or moderate the postings. DS Achieve will do its best to assess any possible risks for users of the groups or comments and will decide in each case whether it is appropriate to use moderation in the light of those risks. You therefore accept that you may be exposed to material that has not been moderated and will not hold DS Achieve liable for any of the postings made, nor bring any legal action or other claim against DS Achieve arising out of your use of the groups or comments whether groups or comments is moderated or not.
You agree that the responsibility for your postings rests solely with yourself and you will indemnify DS Achieve in respect of any costs, expenses, losses, damages or claims made as a result of any claim based upon any posting made by yourself.
All content on the website unless uploaded by users is the property of DS Acheive or our affiliates or other relevant third party.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, Intellectual Property means patents, rights to inventions, copyright and related rights, rights in goodwill or to sue for passing off, rights in designs, rights in computer software, database rights, trade marks, trade names and domain names, rights in confidential information (including know-how and trade secrets) whether registered or unregistered and including all applications (or rights to apply) for, and renewals and extensions of, such rights and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection which may now or in the future subsist in any part of the world.
Intellectual Property appearing on the site, which is the copyright of DS Achieve or of the author asserting copyright as it appears alongside the publication, must not be used, distributed, sold, adapted or reproduced in any medium without licence.
The use of the logos of other organisations indicates that DS Achieve has been granted permission to use the relevant material.
The use of the DS Achieve logo indicates that the material was developed by or in partnership with DS Achieve.
You are permitted to use the site on a personal basis for your own use, but you cannot make commercial use of the content on this site. That means charging for it, or using it any other way that would give you a commercial advantage.

We are committed to ensuring everyone can access DS Achieve. Our Events
Bookings for events can be made via our website or by contacting us on info@dsachieve.org For online bookings, please select the event that you require and click on the “Book” button, following the instructions step by step. Although we make every effort to ensure the prices listed are correct, mistakes may sometimes be made. If a mistake is discovered in the price of the event that you have booked prior to confirmation of your booking, we will tell you and give you the option of either reconfirming your booking at the correct price or cancelling your booking. If we need to change a price and you’ve already booked, you’ll be entitled to a full refund. We also reserve the right to refuse any individual or company attendance at an event.
We reserve the right to amend or cancel any event, event times, dates or published prices. Changes to prices, times and dates will be advised before the start date and any event already paid in full will not be subject to the increased price. As an event may be cancelled at any time up to four weeks prior to its start, we recommend that delegates do not make travel or accommodation arrangements before this time. Any travel, accommodation or subsistence costs incurred (including incidental costs such as car parking) are entirely the responsibility of the delegate or the delegate’s organisation. DS Achieve does not accept any liability for reimbursement of any costs incurred whatsoever in relation to its events. Where an event has been cancelled, delegates will be offered an alternative date for the same event or a refund.
Where a firm booking has been accepted by DS Achieve and is subsequently cancelled by the participant, the participant will be liable for the following charges. All cancellations must be received in writing.
Time period before Course date that the cancellation is made and Charge:
More than 31 working days - No charge
21-30 working days - 30% charge
20 working days or less - Full charge
DS Achieve aims to ensure that its events are accessible to all. If you have any specific needs, such as dietary or access requirements, please advise us at the earliest possible time and we will contact you to discuss your requirements. It is the responsibility of delegates to inform DS Achieve about any specific needs or requirements they may have.
If you are attending an event with a child, the safety and supervision of your child is your sole responsibility. Please also take all necessary steps to ensure that your child interacts appropriately with other children present.

Our website may contain links to other websites and resources that are not owned by DS Achieve. These links are provided for your own information only. We have no control over the content of third party websites or materials and accept no responsibility for them, as well as any loss or damage that may occur from your use of them.

Governing law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
