This training event is for professionals working with children with Down Syndrome in Early Years in both mainstream and special nurseries and schools. The training will be delivered by Helen Long (SENCO, Specialist Advisory Teacher for children with Down Syndrome, parent and Trainer).

This session focuses on early reading, and developing vocabulary and speech:

- How to teach reading

- How to utilise reading to support pupils with Down Syndrome across the curriculum including developing vocabulary and speech and supporting understanding, attention and access to the curriculum
