Young Achievers event - Online Cooking with The Kids' Kitchen

Young Achievers is a monthly programme of activities (currently online!) which is carefully designed to give children the ability to interact, develop social skills and of course have fun together.

This creative online cooking event, led by The Kids' Kitchen, is for Primary and Secondary-aged children (4 - 16) with Down Syndrome (siblings are welcome to join in), in the Hertfordshire and surrounding counties areas.

Before the class, those who want to will have the opportunity to watch a 'how to cook with your kids' video by The Kids' Kitchen (including what kit you generally need and how to use it safely etc) so for anyone less confident in the kitchen, we hope this will be useful. You'll also receive the recipe handout (with substitutions for those with dietary requirements) and the kit list you'll need.

On the day, children will have the opportunity to create a delicious pineapple upside-down cake, led by Nicole from The Kids' Kitchen online, whilst seeing their friends on screen. Nicole's teaching guidance will be recorded and we will make this available after the event so you can use it again and again to recreate the cake using as many different fruits as you like!

If you have any questions, or need any more information, please contact Michelle at DS Achieve on info@dsachieve.org. Otherwise, we look forward to 'seeing' you there!

Book your FREE place via Eventbrite, here and the joining details will be sent to you nearer the time:
