For those who want the benefit of direct input for their child, this is a weekly Little Achievers teaching class with a focus on early skills in the areas of literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, physical development and communication. The class content will vary from week to week and will depend on the age of the children. Sessions will be aimed at ages 1 - 5 years. The regular frequency of classes allows children to get used to the environment and their peers in order to maximise their learning. In other words, we want to help your children learn as much as possible!
A key thing here however is no pressure. All children have different preferences and different rates of learning, and we want children (and their parents/carers) to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
There will also be occasional visiting professionals to the sessions to provide guidance and advice, and to answer parent/carer questions. Attendee parents will be notified in advance of the visits.
Stay and Play runs from 10am - 12pm on Thursday mornings, with classes at specific times (between 9:30am - 12pm) during this period.
**Class timings will be booked to ensure the sessions run smoothly - we will take into account personal needs (such as nursery schedules) where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed**
Class dates are:
- 23rd, 30th April
- 14th, 21st May (NO SESSION on 7th May due to election and NO SESSION on 28th May as it's half term)
- 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th June
- 2nd, 9th July
If the cost of the classes is an issue at all, please contact us to discuss it: info@dsachieve.org
Please note: children remain the respoinsibility of their parents at all times during classes or Stay and Play
